Whether you need information on renewal fees, continuing education requirements, or what to do if your certification has expired, we’ve got you covered. We’re here to guide you every step of the way in your journey to a fulfilling career.
Renewing your certification depends on how long it has been expired. Below is the process based on the expiration period:&
If Less than a Month (Under 30 Days)
If Less Than a Year (Under 12 Months)
If More Than a Year (12–18 Months Expired)
If your certification has been expired for more than 18 months, you will be required to re-register and retake the exam to regain certification.
For detailed fees and CEU requirements, please refer to the full renewal policy or contact eLightenment Solutions support.
In most cases, renewal is still possible without retaking the exam if your certification has been expired for less than 18 months and you complete the required CEUs.
However, if more than 18 months have passed since your expiration date, you will be required to re-register and retake the exam to regain certification.
To keep your certification active, you must renew it once a year by logging into your eLightenment Solutions account and submitting the renewal payment. The annual renewal fee is $65.00 per year.
If your certification expires, you may still be eligible to renew it by paying a reinstatement fee and completing the necessary Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or Professional Development credits. The fees and requirements depend on how long your certification has been expired:
Less than 30 days expired
30–90 days expired
91–365 days expired
More than 1 year (12–18 months) expired
More than 18 months expired
To maintain an active certification, you must complete at least 6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or Professional Development credits each year before your next expiration date.
You can fulfill this requirement by:
✔ Completing an online CE course offered through eLightenment Solutions.
✔ Uploading documentation of external CEUs or Professional Development credits you have earned throughout the year.
If your certification has expired for more than 30 days, you will need to complete an additional 4 CEUs, bringing the total required to 10 CEUs before you can renew.
Yes! This process is called "renewal by reciprocity." If you hold a certification from another recognized agency, you may be eligible to renew with eLightenment Solutions National & Global Certifications.
